Sun Bum Partners with Surfing New Zealand
Surfing New Zealand and Sun Bum have announced an exciting new partnership for 2024.
Sun Bum is now the official sunscreen of Surfing New Zealand, helping to protect surfers at events and participants at initiatives around the country, supporting the development of surfing in Aotearoa.
Starting off with the 2024 National Surfing Championships held in Dunedin during the middle of this month, Sun Bum started protecting event participants and spectators and will continue to do so all season long.
Keep an eye out for the Sun Bum team and activations at events and the sunscreen and products which will be freely available to protect our surfers and their families from the sun.
Sun Bum becomes a major partner of the New Zealand Women’s Surf Festival taking place at Pauanui on the 2-3 March, an event with a focus on fun and activities based around top level surfing across a range of divisions solely for females.
Sun Bum Sun Care products are specifically formulated to help protect those of us who live and love in the sun and this is seen as a great fit for Surfing New Zealand.
“We are stoked to partner with Sun Bum. They care about protecting everyone that is out in the sun all day and they care about the planet like us too” said Surfing New Zealand’s Ben Kennings.
With our desire to develop world class athletes here in Aotearoa whilst protecting and enhancing the wellbeing of surfers and our pristine coastal environment, we see Sun Bum as a great fit and we look forward to a great partnership.
Sun Bum back a number of our top athletes including New Zealand representative and Paris 2024 qualifier Saffi Vette along with junior representative Spencer Rowson.
About Sun Bum
In 2010 we started making products to protect our friends and families from the sun. Since then we’ve grown and gotten a lot bigger but we haven’t changed. Our Cocoa Beach office is an old Florida beach house off A1A. Our Moonlight Beach office is in the groovy little town of Encinitas California. We play way too much ping pong during work hours. We listen to old albums. We take surf breaks. We bring our dogs and kids to work. We want our lives to matter. We make products the way we like them and we hope you like them too.
