Good morning,

It maybe the second day of Spring but Old Man Winter is not quite done with a cold front set to move over South Island reaching the North Island this afternoon. An unsettled and cold southwest flow will follow. Check out your local surf report to see whats on.

The Billabong Pro Tahiti is off for today. Round 3 was completed this morning with Mick Fanning, Andy Irons, Damien Hobgood & Patrick Gudauskas moving through to the 4th round. Live webcast will be back on tomorrow.

Over the weekend Raglan local Billy Stairmand has taken out the ASP Pantin Classic in Spain! The result is the biggest result in a decade for New Zealand surfers and is likely to elevate Stairmand over 80 places into the top 100 from his previous ranking of 162. As well as taking home a cool $20,000!

Surfing New Zealand are holding a Level 1 Surf Instructors Course in Raglan on the 25th & 26th September 2010. The course is accredited by the International Surfing Association (ISA) and is the minimum requirement needed to teach surfing on NZ beaches. Check out SNZ for more info

Enjoy, Miles
