Congratulations to Arini Mason for taking out the Chiko Pro Junior at Merewether over the weekend. In the final she knocked over a recently crowned world champ Laura Enever and had totally out-surfed her in the final of the ASP Australasian Pro Junior.

Taj Burrow took out the Quiksilver Pro Gold Coast presented by Land Rover, beating Jordy Smith of South Africa in 2-3-ft waves at Snapper Rocks. Burrow now tops the ASP World Tour rankings after the first event of the 2010 season. Taj will now move on to the Boost Mobile Surfsho at Bondi next week and then head back to an event in his home state of Western Australia before travelling to Bells Beach for the second event of the ASP World Tour.
