World Tour dynamo Dane Reynolds (USA) is through to the semi finals of the Quiksilver Pro presented by Land Rover after punting defending event champion Joel Parkinson with a near-perfect quarterfinal display at Snapper Rocks.

Reynolds will take on South Africa’s Jordy Smith in semi final two. Smith narrowly defeated another local favourite Bede Durbidge (Currumbin, Aus) 14:10 to 13:77.
