There are two versions of the SurfCo gadget available for download - the Vista Gadget and the Google Gadget. Read the sections below for more information on each version.

Requirements: Windows Vista and a burning desire for the latest updates straight from the snow.co.nz reports feed.

Google Desktop

Requirements: Download and install Google Desktop from link below (works on Windows 2000 / XP / Vista) then download the

Google gadget and select "open" when download is complete.

The gadget has been created by Wellington based designer Kate Insoll and developer Zac Smith of Trinkit. Kate and Zac saw an opportunity to create a sidebar application that was literally cool and useful to boot.

"We wanted the ability to be able to quickly check out and stay updated with what was happening in terms of surf. We had a look around and realised that nothing existed in the way of a gadget that covered surf conditions, so decided to create one ourselves."

The end result is one sweet little kit that will keep you in the loop from the comfort of your PC.
