SNAPPER ROCKS, Queensland/Australia (Friday, March 5, 2010) – The remaining four heats of Round 3 of the Roxy Pro Gold Coast, the opening event of the ASP Women’s World Tour, have been called on this morning, with the first heat hitting the three-to-four foot (1 metre) waves at Snapper Rocks at 7:30am.

The Quiksilver Pro Gold Coast presented by Land Rover, Stop No. 1 of 10 on the 2010 ASP World Tour season, has only three heats remaining to crown a champion and is on standby for a 9am call.

"We still have some good-looking swell on offer this morning and we'll be starting with the women at 7:30am," Rod Brooks, Quiksilver Pro Contest Director, said. "We've put the men on standby for a 9am call, and we'll be monitoring conditions throughout the morning."

Up first today will be current ASP Women's World No. 2 Silvana Lima (BRA), 25, up against 2010 ASP Dream Tour rookie Lee Ann Curren (FRA), 20.

The Roxy Pro Gold Coast will be webcast LIVE via www.roxypro.com.au
