Paige Hareb suffered a disappointing start to her Roxy Pro Gold Coast campaign, placing third during round 1 at Snapper Rocks yesterday. Drawn against Sally Fitzgibbons and Carissa Moore, of Hawaii, in the first heat, Hareb scored 9.77 points and now faces an elimination round.

Hareb was defeated by advancing surfers Sally Fitzgibbons (AUS) and Carissa Moore (HAW) and will have to surf her way through round 2 if she is to remain in this year's competition.

The Roxy Pro Gold Coast pres. by Land Rover will feature the world's best surfers from February 27 through March 10, 2010 and will be webcast LIVE at www.roxypro.com.au
