Winter-like Conditions Greet Surfers At Sandy Bay

A wintery reception greeted surfers at the third event of the 2012 Hyundai Tour held at the idyllic Sandy Bay on Northland's Tutukaka coastline today (Friday 3rd February). However, the strong onshore winds and occasional rain squalls didn't hamper the enthusiasm of the large number of competitors and spectators that had gathered around the event site.
