Learn to Surf with NZ endorsed surf coaches. Our surf school is mobile giving you access to the best learning conditions around the Auckland area. Learn about rips, holes and undertows, how to identify them, escape them and use them to your advantage. Includes transportation, boards, wetsuits, 2 x 2hr lessons per day, surf safety and surfing rules. Other tours include our popular 5 Day Surf Tours (book early), One Day Surf Tours, Heli Surfing and Winter Snow Trips.

Aotearoa Surf is recommended by both Surfing NZ and Water Safety NZ and offers surf lessons and coaching from internationally recognised surf coach Wayne Glover who has over 40 years surfing experience. Based at Te Arai just south of Mangawhai in the Auckland region and fully mobile, lessons can be provided anywhere between Orewa and Ruakaka or on the West Coast. Transport can be provided. Wayne will tailor the lessons and coaching to get you up and riding quickly and enjoying the surfing experience. Or for those more experienced, help you fine tune your technique to get even more enjoyment out of your time in the water. Surfboard and wetsuit hire included in lesson cost. Discovery Surf School is located in Mount Maunganui, Bay Of Plenty, New Zealand.
Come surfing with us. We’ll teach you how to surf and introduce you to the freedom, thrill and stoke of riding waves. Discovery provides professional surf coaching for all ages and abilities, from beginners to experienced surfers. We are a New Zealand Surfing Association accredited school and all our instructors are qualified lifeguards. We supply the surfboards and the wetsuits. All you need to do is come surfing.
