Summer sunshine greeted us once again today for Day 2 and the final day for ASP LQS 2-Star Real B voice Pro Longboard TAITO press by Kaido.

Action commenced this morning at 7:30am at Taito Beach, Chiba Japan. The local weather in Taito was beautiful with sideshore-fanned waves at the two-to-three foot (1 metre) range.

2010 will be the sixth straight seasons for the Real B voice Pro Longboard TAITO press by Kaido serving as the final event for the Surf Festa'10 at Taito Beach in Isumi of Chiba-ken. The men's event is well known, but this year will be the inaugural year for the women's action.

Men's finals was a rematch of several years ago with Bonga Perkins (HAW) vs. Kevin Connelly (USA). This time Perkins is victorious and claims the 2010 title.

"Thank you very much for everyone," Perkins said. "Glad everybody enjoyed the show. Too bad the waves kind of decreased in size for the finals. Kevin and I trade boards for a couple rides and I hope everybody enjoyed us."

Perkins also takes honor of both wave and heat high scores: 8.50 in the Round of 24, as well as combination of 15.00 in the opening heat of the event.

Miku Uemura (HAW), Ryoko Maruyama (JPN), Hatsumi Ui (JPN), Yuki Suzuki (JPN) made up the four women's finalists. Maruyama proved victorious and has been crowed the inaugural women's champion.

Follwed by Uemura in 2nd , Suzuki 3rd and Ui in 4th.
