Ok so I didn't get this - but I just had a weekend up north and boosted over from Picton to catch up with Nellie. Good fun 2-3ft at Schnappers Point and then later in to a river bar in a superb location. Probably the best river bar setup I've seen in NZ - it was small but you could see how the wave just folds over itself - perfectly hollow and sucking up. Fabulous remote spot - even a penguin in the water.
Meatworks 2-3ft but junky enough on the way back and the missus arrives back from diving late last night so I'm sitting outside in the dark shucking scallops until 11:30. Sweet weekend - cheers nelson!
