Tuesday was good and last night was great fun. Then again, I am surfstarved and can't say the banks were particularly groomed.

Got home and the mother in law was here, saw the storm and told her it meant a tornado was coming and she'd better go home, worked a treat

Yeah, Thunderstruck, shook all night long and then some. You could fully see where all the money went. The stage was as high as the stadium and over 50mtrs from side to side. They had three giant screens and two banks of speakers that were 20 mtrs high. They had a giant AC/DC steam train that was spewing fire as well as a blow up "Rosie" doll that was 3 stories high and danced to the music. Then there was the Hells Bells Bell and about 20 real cannons for "For those about to rock." At the end there was a kick 4ss fireworks display. My wife could hear the music clearly from home in Island Bay (10km away).
Also it was a perfect warm and windless night (rare for Welly) and the crowd of about 40000 was really well behaved.
I'm seriously considering going again tomorrow night.

no, i won't be going. acdc are in my oldschool album collection, along with numourous other classic aussie bands from the 80's. now after a while it becomes a bit repetitive for my tastes. my teen son has thunderstruck on his ipod thingy..so it's stood the test of time i guess. funny how the kids go through the old stuff and listen to it., heck , he even put on my johnny cash album the other night..lol.
but good on em, still drawing the crowds and putting on a good show by all accounts.
