Damn right seeka. I love my paid annual leave, spent most of that sliding down Ruapehu over the last 2 months. Paid to play by the people of NZ. Mind you, the MoH are culling 500 people to save some Cash. Good 'ol pink shirt and purple tie Tony gave us a little speel yesterday. All I heard was blah blah blah but there were some worried faces. Not me though, I'll take redundancy if it comes along ... but doubt I'll be one of the lucky ones.

therefore, one can conclude with mathematical certainty that.....

Another sick 2 days on the Mountain Sun and Mon. Had both kids with me, my daughter owning the Alpine Meadow while me and the boy were slashing our way through Turoas Middle/Upper Mountain. The surfer in me certainly hasn't died coz I'm constantly searching out lips and Mounds to do forehand slashes off and soul arching forehand bottom turns into big frozen walls

Then we would see people who genuinely cared about serving the country for the greater good, running the show and we wouldn't be in such a state because they would actually care so much that they would not mind sacrificing the moolah for the job.

Yeh well i think it's time we should change that .Those rights are inherent to a human being ,just like living seeing or breathing they are not made up dreamed up or what , you read some of them you know inherently it is something you can identify with and resides in you ,you would not be faring well if those rights were trampled on or suppressed , it is an inherent quality .

How can they be inherent when they can be taken away? Rights are a human concept nothing more. Don't get me wrong, I'm glad someones making the effort, but at the end of the day there is nothing absolute that will ensure your rights are upheld should someone else decide to violate them.

Yeh i know but it should be a governmental expectation to uphold them , that would be part of it's duty i reckon .

I think you're right and I also think that the govt does do its best in this regard. The problem arises when a force with superior firepower is involved. A classic example of this is the rape of human rights that has been going on in the middle east for the last 8 years. (*Insert imaginary friend here*) forbid that they/we ever find significant oil reserves in NZ.
