Haven't been to look - I'm assuming flatness till we get some NE windswell, or should I say grovel wind chop?

Riccarton Mall put me off Riccarton Mall before any quakeage happened - it's my personal definition of air-conditioned hell. But jebus you must have browned your trousers being there in a shake.

I wasn't born with the birthright, so I just got a Mal.

Took Mr 3 and Miss 4 mullet fishing at the Ashley rivermouth this avo. Throw line in, count to ten, pull line out - mullet. Did same at Motunau yesterday. Kids love it. And I'm getting really good at filleting small fish.

Nice mate. I was up the Ashley Gorge last Thursday for a jaunt. I saw 3 fish in about 3km of pristine looking river. Hard fishing to say the least but a spectacular spot.

Looks good tomorrow out south

Did you go over that pass into whatsit valley? Magical river.

Mags looks pretty perfect Weds morning, but I suppose every man and his dog thinks so too. I'm keeping an eye on something a little closer. I'll let you know if I'm headed there.

Hickory was better!! Went for an impulsive jaunt over to Okains on Tuesday - dawny at Hickory, solid 3 foot, absolute glass. Scored a surprise NW windswell at Okains yesterday, soft 2 foot, I've got to get a mal...

I was working but I seen it before sunrise. One of the best days brotown has seen in forever I reckon. Randomly good banks, decent size, good water temp. I got out just after the onshore kicked in, I missed it by an hour.

I hope some of you boys got amongst it earlier. Pics anyone?

I was over for lunchtime and it was shoulder high peaky and offshore but the wind was getting strong.
Speaking of training, shouldn't you be swimming 5 km a day and practicing long lefts?

Gaaar! I did the whole of north Pegasus on the way home again, figuring there must be something. Crosschop at kooks, just about got the old scooby stuck at Ashworths, and whistle clean but too small at Amberley...

I'd have sold my soul for lully 2-3ft.
