hopefully.

all the faultline talk is interesting.
to me, the faultlines we see in localised areas are just a small nick in a much bigger picture. the massive kermadec trench leads almost directly into chch. looking at inland faults is really just looking at tiny hairs at the end of a huge brush.

also, i'm still not convinced these plates are just floating around. the expanding earth theory seems to make more sense.

I wouldn't be out there. check out those weekly reports though - every monday on Ecans site. Taylors report for last week was good but you realistically would need to choose based on swell direction and wind also I guess. Calculated risk - 1-5% of getting gastro from a reading 2 weeks ago. I'd like to know where the readings are taken too.
E.g. Taylors has no known sewage outfalls currently so the readings would *probably* be based on outfall being pushed south by a north wind/swell. Where do they take the measurement from?
In Lyttleton harbour one of the bays has a massive high reading - but was it taken at low tide from close to a sewage outfall?

i really like this.easy to navigate. the retro look is cool as, as is the range of boards available...having single fins is something i havn't seen for sometime and i think that is a good thing.. the art on the boards is very pleasing on the eye(do you know if the shaper does this or does he have an artist). also, 360 view is very good.

i'm no site designer, but i know what i like and whoever designed this site has done an excellent job imo.

thanks jelly.

many of my friends have asked me to ink them. i have been reluctant so far,.mostly as there is a bit of negative energy that comes from cutting another persons flesh.

i have drawn designs for really close friends who want something personal to them. maybe one day i'll get some gear, but at the moment i have quite a few other projects on the go.
