last surf was 2 weeks ago..long,long,long right point sand bottom waves & a bit of rock dodging to keep ya on ya toes. waist to shoulder..2 others enjoying the 300-400mtr rides. good times.

onshore today, small swell.

went for a peek 2 days ago but was messy.

might get a semi decent wave 2moro, after i've fixed the starter solenoid in my car...if the part arrives in time.

Most of the people were out at old mans. I went further down north and got a few. Pretty ordinary banks out there though. The shape looks nice but the wave is actually really fat.

Here's the board. I want it to be at least waist high for it's first surf. It was more like knee high yesterday so I pulled standards.

It looks like we'll have to reconvene and discuss this issue. In the mean time I will make a declaration that you are temporarily not scvm pending the decision of the committee at it's next meeting. (Probably round Christmas time in case you're interested.)

glad you agree with me. i can wait till xmas, not that it matters as the situation shall remain.

in the mean time i'm off to have a crack at some amateur mechanics in order to get mobile to go check the surf...in between the mountains of other stuff that needs taking care of. at this point i'd like to make a suggestion that at least 6 hrs be added to every day so the busy folk among us can actually get stuff done on time.

yea there will be more people then bethells. But it doesn't bother me that much. I still tend to get more then my fair share.

The thing is it looks crowded but alot of the time half the people can't catch the waves at piha.

For instance its much harder to get waves off guys that can surf then off people that fall off more frequently. But at the same time it is a zoo.

See shacked, Jabes got barreled yesterday, no doubt that was on one of the many barrel sections on offer on the rights there.

I might start paddling around telling guys how good the banks are at Bethells, then the crowds will come. It will be like when anawhata or whites or mercer have good banks then the crowds flock to them.

I surfed piha today twice, both sides of lion and i wouldn't say the crowd was bad at all. i surfed the north side with one other guy out. a nice inside 3ft wave hollow and fun. pretty strong rip running through it though.

went to south and there was a barrelling good sized left. pretty fast and shut down but got a few goodies.

there was a decent bit of swell that surprised me. id call easy 5 foot on the sets. long lulls though.

i surfed between 9 and 12 30.

you have to be a total kook to not get waves at piha most days. pretty much 90 percent of the crowd suck
