No, just frame grabs from the video you can do it yourself...Manu bay usually gains in size after the takeoff by the way.

Talking about hoax swells, how was that supposed NW swell? Nothing on the weather map to suggest swell and yet Bouyweather were calling epicness. As expected nothing arrived.

NW swells can be epic for the few Tara breaks that face the right angle and show their hand 1 or 2 times a year. It has to be a macking for that to occur, sadly this was not one of them. Only marginal at best.
Online surf predictions are fairly useful most of the time. The problem is predicting weather and swell patterns, it can behave or it can be like an insolent child and do the opposite of what think it will do. Frustration can occur if you have cleared an otherwise busy diary.
Monday week before Waitangi was one of those days that they got it wrong in a good way and we had a healthy afternoon swell on most of the point breaks.

marine weather and magic seaweed and swellmap etc all had the north swell on them 1.5m at 14 secs was going to be the peak of the apparent swell.

Yeah, I guess there can be a big difference between Gissy and ChCh. One thing though, the ECAN Bouy isn't a forecast like Bouyweather. It's an actual swell reading. It's a very accurate measure of what's headed up the east coast of NZ. Gives about six hours warning for Welly, and I guess something like twelve hours warning for Gissy.
