It'd dropped off after the HT by the time I was taking these pics. It was fair glorious when I was out there, shoulder-headhigh.

It was a morning out of the box indeed.
Must be pumping in at Kaiks, zoomed the camera in on the horizon and there are some big lumps wafting up the open sea out there.
yeah noticed that when walking the dogs down beach before. some solid swell heading north

breaking backwards again... got one decent wave, no banks at piha, have to join Jaben at Bethells, its not like your cars more secure at Piha any more.....

my definition of decent DB, requires at least two whackable sections and a cutback to even call it a wave ... if it goes further than that or has a barrel section its a bonus ha ha
Todays surf surpassed yesterdays for complete cr@pness... got one haf decent (one lip to hit) left in 2 hours, fackin disgusting backing off weak rubbish at south, waters so warm though, shorty today, boardies next week for sure

mmmm i think la nina is starting to get her sweaty paws on the west coast fun surf yesterday not amazing but pumped for about 30mins then the tide/swell combo just wasn't quite right still in last 7 days had 3 pumping surfs and 2 ok ones so cant complain
