Gisborne surfer Maz Quinn took a convincing victory at the Billabong Pro completed at Whangamata over the long weekend. The win elevates him from 13th to first on the Export Gold Series ratings after two of five events for the season.

The Billabong Pro was the second of five events on the Export Gold Series and offers over $12,800 in prize money and takes place from 30th January - 1st February.
