The 16 kiwi's flew out of Auckland on the 2nd of August and were greeted to 8-10ft No-Kandui on day one, this certainly sorted the boys from the men. After the first hour of being in the water we had everything from perfect barrels, broken boards to skinned body's from head to toe. '
The crew were on the island for 12 days and scored endless perfection with waves on offer for every surfers ability. Kandui resort catered over and above expectations providing mouth-watering sea food daily caught by the locals and unforgettable hospitality. The Masters of Mentawi is set to return to the Mentawai Islands in August 2011.
