Poll: Should Kitesurfing be run by Yachting NZ?

  • Yes Yachting NZ would support it well.

  • No it is more aligned with the surfing community and Surfing NZ should have the rights.

  • No a new association should be set up by Kitesurfers.

Sydney copped plenty of swell from early July onwards - it was pretty much relentless. As quickly as it dropped it jumped back in size the next day.

I ducked out a couple of times over the weekend of 10-11th July on the southside when big things were expected but the swell wasn't really getting into the spots I checked. It was hitting the northern beaches and the Central Coast/Newcastle area instead.

Here's a few snaps of various spots I cruised past. For a population of 4 million it's surprising how you could still get uncrowded waves on a Sydney Sunday.

Guess it must have been better elsewhere?? Jeez we're a fussy lot!
