Shifty Summer
Surf on the NE coast has been for lack of a better word 'shit' so far this summer! So when the recent weather bomb passed, leaving an offshore wind change in its wake, swarms of wave-starved surfers buzzed to the coast to get their share.

I flew direct from the Burleigh WQS event in the Gold Coast to the Australian Open at Manly, Sydney. Upon arrival at Manly, I hooked up with fellow Fox rider Robbie France and Fox team manager Kade Taylor. Robbie has a sick pad out at Collaroy, about twenty minutes north of the comp site.

Manly Beach was on fire this week for the Australian Open of Surfing. The surf was not big but the atmosphere was electric! Huge wins by Sally Fitzgibbons and Matt Banting in the surf and Billy Stairmand stormed into 3rd place! Check out the images from an incredible week....
Piha Nationals
The New Zealand Surfing Nationals began the day I flew in from the first WQS event of the year in China. Luckily, the Open Men’s division kicked off on the 17th which gave me a day to find my bearings at Piha, and refresh from the flight.
