Fun beach breaks, long lazy point breaks and firing reefs! Southland has some of the most challenging surfing breaks in New Zealand. The coastline is wide open to big Southern Ocean swells and has the most consistent surf in country. Cam sent us in these shots from a recent trip down south.

Dunedin gets the best of both worlds. Within a short drive of the city you can access breaks with a swell window from north, to east, and right through to south west. Consistent south and south westerly swells from the southern ocean feed the southern facing breaks. Then there's the more inconsistent north and east facing breaks...
