Check out some of the shots of the NZ-wide SEWN Release Tour that happened from Jan to March, and to which over 1500 people came and were conquered by SEWN! Here are shots of the Piha World Premiere and the Auckland screening at Britomart.
Brazil
Well after watching a few movies and waiting in a few airports we eventually made it to Brazil a little jetlagged but looking forward to the start of the event.
Size counts
I recently added a new lens to my bag of photographic wizardry – a new addition that has given me a fresh perspective on this coastline of ours. And it's a whopper: a Canon EF 400mm f/2.8L complete with Image Stabilizer. The front element is the size of a dinner plate and it weighs more than five kilograms.

Gold Coast - Quiky Pro Event

Gold Coast
I'm on the Gold coast at the moment, there have been non stop waves since I got back from the Beachley in Sydney, heaps of swell and really good conditions. I'm out of the water for a week though after hitting my face on the reef in my first heat in Sydney.
Superstition
This spell of crazy good weather coupled with swell after swell after leg-burning swell of magic surf conditions has been incredible. I hesitate to say it, but it does seem like the longest summer I can remember in Dunedin. Now I've said that it's likely to all end in a snowstorm that brings down powerlines, closes roads and turns the hot salt water pool into an ice rink.
Taranaki
Hey everyone. I just got back to the Gold Coast yesterday so I spent the day sorting all my gear and trying out a new board in warm water which was nice. Then this morning I caught the early flight down here to Sydney for the Beachley Classic. It was awesome going to Taranaki last week.
