nzXsports.com Ltd are the publishers of Snow.co.nz, Surf.co.nz and Swellmap.com. These sites are all at the cutting edge of their field in respect to the information supplied, design and interaction with the snow, surf and marine weather industry and public.

Former New Zealand Winter Olympic representative David Scott founded the predesessor to nzXsports.com, Snowco in 1996. Today, its six staff bring a wide array of talents. David Chalklen, our sales and marketing manager with a degree in Recreation Management and former lift technician at Cardrona. Tim Armstrong, our newest addition to the sales and marketing team, has a degree in marketing from Waikato University. Martyn Davies, who was the former ski area manager at Temple Basin and is now our snow content, web camera & live streaming manager. Matt Stinson, who keeps our websites latest projects and development tuned and humming along as well as Miles Finlay who is our IT, development and graphics technician.

New since 2006 is the introduction of Live Streaming events and web cameras. As broadband saturation and the internet reach further into people's homes, we at nzXsports.com are committed to supplying cutting edge surfing and snow sports events footage and delivering conditions as they happen. Watch 2007 as we deliver even more from the most remote spots in NZ. We have supplied radio stations, TV stations, magazines, local and international websites and newspapers with the latest snow and surf conditions, webcams, press releases, images and much more.

The Snow.co concept was developed from David Scott's thesis for the Christchurch Polytechnic Institute of Technology Ski Area Management Course in 1995. Since then the site has moved from being a static industry website to providing up to the minute and impartial snow reports, cameras and news articles. The site has received huge acclaim, including several Netguide awards, and has ever increasing traffic levels.

The Surf.co website was launched by Keith Redman in August 1996, and brought into the nzXsports.com group in August of 2002. The site has extensive sanctioned surfing information, news and photos from around the world.

The Swellmap.com website has been a joint venture between nzXsports.com and Met Ocean Solutions ltd since 2005. The site receives the latest swell, wind, and wave information relevant to over 500 marine and surfing spots around the country. The most accurately published information in NZ is now available through 24hour forecasts, 7-day forecasts and charts across the country. Combine this technology with our Google Earth model and we are the first in NZ to provide consistently accurate and specific, detailed information about your local marine point or surf beach.

According to Nielsen Net Ratings, across all 3 sites we reach an average of 46,000 page impressions per day in summer and 58,000 page impressions per day in winter. With average unique browsers per month across all 3 sites over winter at over 9000 per day and at over 7000 per day in summer - advertising with us should be an important part of your annual strategy.
